About the Instagram downloader

Instagram has no save button for Reels, video posts, or photo carousels — by design, to keep you scrolling in-app. The Videofish Instagram downloader is how you get that content onto your own device.

Paste a Reel link for the MP4, a /p/ photo link for the JPG, or a carousel link to pull every image at once. Everything lands in one clean, phone-friendly result.

No Instagram login, no extension, no ad redirects — public content is one paste away from your camera roll.

How to download an Instagram Reel or photo

Save any public Instagram Reel, video, or photo carousel in seconds.

Step-by-step

1

Open the Instagram post

Find the Reel, video post, or photo carousel you want to save. Tap the three-dot menu (top right).

2

Tap Copy Link

Choose Copy Link from the menu. The full instagram.com URL is now on your clipboard.

3

Paste into Videofish

Open videofish.cc/instagram in your browser and paste the link. Tap Download.

4

Save the asset

Tap Download on the Reel MP4, individual photos, or every carousel image. On iPhone, save to Photos via Files.

Pro tips

Reels return both the MP4 and a cover thumbnail — grab the cover for a YouTube Short thumbnail.

For photo carousels, every image is returned individually — bulk-download all or pick the best one.

Private accounts and Close Friends content cannot be parsed — this is an Instagram restriction, not a limitation of Videofish.

If a copied link includes ?utm_source= tracking, strip it for cleaner results (optional but recommended).
